I have developed websites, content management systems and custom web applications for a variety of industries
from small to large businesses. Take a look at my web development portfolio or click on the arrow to the right for a brief
summary of examples of work I've done.
ASATA - Association Of South African Travel Agents
The website development I did was to design and create a web application whereby travel
agents can register on the system to record their skills and courses completed for the current year.
The web application awards set points for certain courses completed. By the end of the year, they need to accumulate
a certain number of points to remain active on the system.
The travel agent's supervisors can log into their own administration
section to validate completion of the courses. Custom reports have been built into the system for the administrators.
The web development involved spliting the project into sections as it got quite involved. As each section
was conpleted, they were connected to one another to form the functional web application.
AfricaBe is a website showcase to offer the world an
insight into all that is Africa.
I developed a content management system to their specifications. The content management system has the ability to add new content for any sectionn.
The management system is integrated into a YouTube account to view videos and it also allows for the addition
of image galleries and website links.
Visitors are also able to register and create a profile to interact with the website. Once they create a profile, they can
add their own avatar/image, particiate in discussions, leave their comments on any content, participate in the weekly poll
and enter into competitions. They also have the ability to submit content like articles, videos and images.
This is all driven by the dynamic content management system.
BHCS - Brake Hose & Component Supplies
I developed a content management system whereby visitors can register on the website and request access to a selection of PDF
brochures. Once the adminstrator approves the registration, they have access to all brochures and pricing
for various components.
This website is basically a mini content management system to maintain their online PDF brochures and
to manage the users that have registered.
BARSA - Board of Airline Representatives of South Africa
I developed an online noticeboard whereby administrators can add documents, notices and other information for
and from certain departments. Administrators have full control of the system to add, update, enable or
disable certain notices.
Development also included the option to upload documents/images as needed for notices.
The web development I did involved the creation of a quote management system. They needed a system to
capture quotes online and have workflow embedded into this system too. When a quote is captured online,
it can be assigned to a sales person for follow up and processing.
Alerts were added in the management system to notify administrators if quotes were open for too long.
This alert time frame could be set and it can range from 1 hour to a set number of weeks (all depending on how
busy they are).
Eye-Q Website Design
Eye-Q is a website design
company. Most of the websites I have developed have been for them as they needed their client's websites to
have the ability to interact with their visitors.
